Washington DC based punk/power pop rockers Dot Dash have released a new album entitled 'Earthquakes & Tidal Waves.' If you've been searching for a group with major credentials, this is the band for you. When a group of artists' CV includes such massive names as indie-rock hit Julie Ocean, the Saturday People, Swervedriver, and not to mention St. Christopher and Minor Threat, you know that amazing music is coursing through their veins. Even their producer Mitch Easter adds to the credibility, with R.E.M., Game Theory, Dinosaur Jr., and Wilco in his roster.
Their latest single Rainclouds is a prime example of their developed sound: with a driving guitar backbone supporting a classic-sounding, nostalgically warm vibe, this track is just infectiously exhilarating. The playful phrases entwined in the informed and influenced lyrics are just as intriguingly stimulating as the instrumental melodics. If you want a sunset cruising jam, "I'm here to tell you" this song will have you "feeling great." |
