Alt Rising Acts CHORD just released another single off of their Second Album Initiative, entitled Outlines. The track captures their sound aesthetic perfectly, as we previously described as "[songs that] exhibit passionately soaring vocal melodies against thematically textured production, wrapped up in a soulful lyrical display of emotional vulnerability. It's a nice blend of interweaving electronics and acoustics." The single is a continuation of their electro brit-pop vibe, but now updated with a psychedelic futurism of sorts. Just as anthemic, dynamic, and winding as the rest of their discography, the infectious track will have you singing along all day.

We're absolutely thrilled to premiere CHORD's new music video for their single Science concurrently with their Alt Rising Acts feature. Science is one of the more darker, edgier and electronic tracks off the group's Second Album Initiative, reminiscent of Depeche Mode and indicative of their more evolved and expressive sound. The cerebral track is created into an choreographed illusion by world-class dancers Simone Salvaggio and Jessica Aiello. CHORD describes the video as "a track we are particularly proud of not only because it is one of our own favourites but mainly because two world class dancers (who regularly perform on Broadway [in] New York) chose it to choreograph one of their dances. We thought this was amazing and decided to fly over to Italy where they [were] performing at the moment and make a video with them." Truly an amazing creation, full of soul. Stream the video below, then be sure to stay up to date and support CHORD via their Twitter, Facebook, Bandcamp, and Main Site.
The force that is Miss Geo has released another single off their upcoming EP, Shapes, out next week. Indifferénce adds a new level of the collaborative ingenuity of Abby & Paz to the Miss Geo sound, by incorporating french lyrics and experimental production into the mix. This is another cerebral-electronic progression for the duo, taking on darker and dynamic elements to achieve a cyber space-age ambient effect. The subtle undercurrent of grooving guitar leading into the driving breakdown really showcases the amazing instrumental development that Miss Geo is known for. Overall, experimental yet central is how I would describe this tune, due to winding and fierce variety of vocal-form staggered throughout the track. The evolution and vision that the duo has taken on the EP is really stellar. Can't wait to hear more.
IndieBeat favorites Miss Geo just released a new single off their upcoming EP "Shapes" coming April 2015. Mouse On The Moon shapes up as darker, edgier, and more cerebral version of the fervent electropop sound we're used to from the duo. Their 80s pop vibe evolves into an angstier, ambient synth-shoegaze sound with this track. I'm sure we can expect more of their fantastic experimental electronics on their Spring EP.
