It's a new month, so you probably guessed what that means--I'm going to tell you why you should listen to Inner Outlaws' latest release off their Year of the Outlaw initiative. I mean, there's so much I could say but I'll keep this one simple: it's yet another rad addition to their discography that you can't help but be addicted to. Just like their other singles it has that unforgettable psych-rock 70s-essence, but with unique flourishes that just makes it sound as classic as a folk song with a hip edge. Every thing about this track is incredible, especially the cover artwork. I got to say it's my favorite yet.
Something tells me that Boys In Blue, with its reverberating sunset rooftop vibe, was inspired by their Brooklyn show last month at Bushwick Open Studios. It's a bit of an in-the-moment nostalgia narrative with a searching quality that draws you in with every detail. After all, "everybody's having fun tonight" especially everybody who has the pleasure of hearing this track. Boy am I glad music this good isn't illegal--I'd be even more of an Outlaw with those Boys In Blue. |
